A message to clients about civil unrest following the Southport stabbings

Dear Clients

We hope this message finds you safe and well. In the wake of the recent tragic events in Southport and the subsequent civil unrest in various parts of the country, we wanted to reach out to you during this deeply unsettling time. We want you to know that we are here for you and are committed to your safety and wellbeing.

These incidents can be particularly distressing, and we understand that some of you may be feeling scared or anxious, whether for yourselves, your families, or your friends. Such feelings are completely natural in times like these. Please know that you are not alone, and you can speak to your support worker in the first instance if you need any additional support at this time.

At Transform, we are dedicated to fostering a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued. We strongly condemn any form of violence, anti-social behaviour, racial discrimination, abuse – whether verbal or physical – or any form of victimisation. We do not tolerate these behaviours. If anyone connected to Transform, whether a colleague or a client, is found to have engaged in such activities, we will take swift action.

Please remember that engaging in such behaviour would breach your licence or tenancy agreement, and we would act accordingly. For more information, please refer to the relevant section in your Licence or Tenancy Agreement, within your client handbook.

If you experience or witness any of these behaviours, or someone is trying to pressure you to be involved in such activities, we urge you to contact your support worker immediately. It is crucial that we are informed of these situations so that we can take the necessary steps to protect and support you and others in our community.

We recognise that some of you may be feeling particularly vulnerable during this time and may even fear being targeted. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have concerns or feel unsafe. We are here to listen and to help, ensuring that you receive the support you need.

We are all part of the Transform community, and by working together, we can continue to uphold the values of respect, safety, and inclusivity that define us.

Your wellbeing is our top priority, and we are here to support you through these challenging times.
